Armed men abduct 2 varsity students in Plateau

Two students of the Plateau State University, Bokkos, have been reportedly kidnapped by some unidentified gunmen.

The students, identified, Theresa Puntel and Dimfat Atukum, were said to be abducted Sunday night from their lodge outside the campus where they were staying.

Puntel is said to be a 200 level student of the Theatre Art Department, while Atukum is a 300-level student of the institution.

Neither police nor the university authorities are yet to issue a statement on the incidents, but a student source told Middlebelt Chronicle, said that the incident had sent panic among the students of the institution.

A student, who spoke anonymously because he’s not authorised to speak said, “The incident happend around 10 pm last Sunday night from their lodge near the school. It has thrown us into confusion. We don’t know the motive of the kidnappers.”
