Plateau PDP Set For elective congress on Saturday
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau State Chapter is set to conduct its elective Congress tomorrow ( Saturday)
A statement signed by the Chairperson, Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, Joyce Lohya Ramnap, said that delegates from the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State, as well as key stakeholders and party faithful, are expected to participate in the exercise, which is aimed at further strengthening the structures of the PDP and consolidating its unity and internal democracy.
The statement said, “The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau wishes to inform its teeming members, supporters, and the general public that arrangements have been concluded for the conduct of the Plateau State Elective Congress scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25th October 2025.
The congress will take place at the WAYE Foundation, Doi-Du Jos South Local Government Area, beginning at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
“Delegates from the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State, as well as key stakeholders and party faithful, are expected to participate in the exercise, which is aimed at further strengthening the structures of the PDP and consolidating its unity and internal democracy.
“The State Working Committee expresses appreciation to members of the party across the state for their continued loyalty, commitment, and peaceful conduct.
Ramnsp, who is the commissioner for information and communication, said that the congress provides another opportunity to reaffirm our collective resolve towards building a more vibrant and people-oriented PDP that will continue to champion the cause of development and good governance on the Plateau.
She advised delegates and observers are advised to arrive early, conduct themselves peacefully, and adhere strictly to the party’s guidelines for the congress.
“The People’s Democratic Party remains steadfast in its vision of restoring hope, deepening democracy, and delivering dividends of governance to all citizens,” the commissioner said.
