Ralph Uwazuruike, Bianca Ojukwu bid Iwuanyanwu goodbye at a Historic Burial Ceremony

Eminent personalities and members of l the Igbo community in Nigeria and The Diaspora gathered in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Friday to pay tribute to Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo) a distinguished politician and businessman whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the region.
Among the prominent figures were Chief Ralph Uwazuruike and the Foreign Affairs Minister of state-designate and the wife of Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bianca Ojukwu, who united with Igbo leadership at this historic burial ceremony to honor Iwuanyanwu’s legacy, reflecting on his profound impact on the community.
The burial ceremony which took place in Atta, Ikeduru LGA of Imo State, where family, friends, and dignitaries converged to celebrate the life of a man who dedicated himself to the betterment of his people.
Iwuanyanwu, who passed away on July 25, 2024, was revered for his philanthropic efforts, political leadership, and commitment to community development. The significance of this burial was not just in mourning his loss but in recognizing the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
Ralph Uwazuruike and Bianca Ojukwu arrived at the venue amidst an atmosphere of respect and reverence.
Their presence was warmly welcomed by Iwuanyawu’s family and community members, signifying the respect Iwuanyawu commanded. The event also attracted numerous other dignitaries, highlighting the collective acknowledgment of Iwuanyawu’s contributions to the Igbo nation.

Recall that Uwazuruike during a condolence visit to Iwuanyanwu’s family in New Owerri where he was received by Iwuanyanwu’s son, Jude Iwuanyanwu and other family members, extolled the qualities of Iwuanyanwu saying “If you are not close to Iwuanyanwu, you will not know that he is a uniquely kind and humble man. Humble to a fault. I’m heavily heartbroken because his death has left a big vacuum in Igbo land that is like a father of Nd’igbo when he was alive. ”
